Jo Bole So Nihal" which had been condemned by Sikh religious leaders as denigrating their faith led to many explosions all over the world. The Punjab Cultural And Heritage Board had accused the makers of the film for lowering down the value of the word ‘Nihaal’, as the very word is auspicious for them.

One person was reported dead and more than 53 others injured when two high-intensity blasts rocked two cinema halls in the capital on Sunday evening where Sunny Deol-starrer Jo Bole So Nihal , which had earned the wrath of Sikh groups and SGPC, was being screened.

Liquor baron Ponty high on controversy

His name appears in the credits of Jo Bole So Nihal. Ponty says he did not expect such a rabid reaction to the film, as he got a green signal from a panel set up by the head priest of Akal Takht.
