Film's hero Shahrukh Khan criticised the fact that no Pakistani cricketers had been picked for the Indian Premier League, which sparked Shiv Sena, India's militant Hindi party, protests .

The Shiv Sena has warned Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan to apologise for backing the Pakistani cricketers at the IPL and making remark that Mumbai is for all Indians. The party stated that his films would be banned in the city if he doesn’t offer an apology but the Baadshah is not bowing down to their demands.

Shah Rukh regrets My Name Is Khan controversy

Shah Rukh Khan, who is facing the ire of Shiv Sena, today said he is overwhelmed by the love and support of Mumbaikars and apologised to them for "giving stress" over the last few days since the controversy over My Name Is Khan broke out. "I thank u all for this and apologise for giving stress over the last few days & now truly know the meaning of being humbled. lov u all so much (sic)," tweeted Khan.
