Credit should go to the original lyricist

According to the eldest son of late Makhdoom Mohiuddin, Nusrat Mohiuddin, the poem Intezar , written by his father in the 1940s was used in the film as the song Shabke Jage Hue . It was credited to the movie’s lyricist Nida Fazli. Addressing a press conference, organised by the All India Progressive Writers Association (AIPWA), AP chapter, on Thursday, Nusrat said that he had approached the Bhatts and Nida Fazli in 1998 pointing to them that the song was his father’s creation and that the credit should go to the original lyricist.
