Aamir Khan's Fanaa Controversy

Tuesday, May 30, 2006
Aamir Khan's Fanaa faced an 'unofficial ban' in Gujarat as multiplexes' and single screen theatre's associations decided not to release it fearing violence in wake of BJP's youth wing's warning that none of Aamir's films would be allowed to be released until he apologised over his alleged statements supporting Narmada Bachao Andolan. Khan's effigies were burnt. However, Aamir's stoic stance and refusal to say sorry, was well appreciated.
