Set Max Television's World Cup telecast anchor Mandira Bedi found herself in a controversy after turning up for the final in a sari that had the imprint of the Indian tri colour along with those of the other participating nations.To the dismay of many Indian viewers, it was observed that the imprint of the Indian flag was just near her feet. The controversial sari was designed for Mandira by Satya Paul especially for coverage of the World Cup, being held in the West Indies.

Model-turned-actress and TV anchor Mandira Bedi has once again earned the ire of the Sikh community for sporting an Ek Onkar (God is one) tattoo on her nape, with community leaders threatening to drag her to court for hurting religious sentiments if she did not have the tattoo removed immediately.
